This study systematically analysed research that centres on autistic workers’ experiences, highlighting how traditional employment practices place the burden of adaptation on the individual rather than adjusting workplaces to meet their needs. Using the social relational model of disability, the study identified four key themes that reveal both the challenges autistic workers face and the importance of restructuring work environments to foster true inclusion and acceptance.
