Modern Slavery Statement

Neurodiverse Connection has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We strive to act ethically and with integrity in all of our activities and relationships to make sure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in Neurodiverse Connection or in any of our supply chains.

We believe that a modern slavery statement is an important part of our approach to implementing our ethical policy. We have opted to adopt a statement which we will update and publish annually on our website, although we are not required to have such a statement under current regulations due to our annual turnover.

Organisation structure and supply chain

Neurodiverse Connection is a Community Interest Company and works within England and Wales. We are committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff.

We have three directors who meet quarterly to ensure we are working in line with our values and mission and that the decisions we are making are fitting with our CIC status.

Due to the nature of our work, we assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

How we prevent modern slavery in our business

  • We carry out employment checks, including making sure that our team have the right to work for us.

  • We pay at least the National Living Wage.

  • We carry out appropriate checks on suppliers so we know who is working with us or on our behalf.

  • Every employee is provided with a written contract

  • We comply with our legal obligations to ensure the health and safety of all of our employees and workers, including in relation to working hours, rest breaks and holidays

  • We do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

The following policies in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 are, available to staff through our Shared drives:

  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy

  • Safeguarding Adults and Children Policy (including safer recruitment)

  • Whistleblowing Policy

  • Working time directive
