Relay UK: helping people with hearing and speech difficulties communicate with anyone over the phone

£0.00

After more than 20 years of the successful UK national relay service in 2012, Ofcom decided to improve the relay services available for people with hearing impairment or difficulties speaking on the phone. In 2014 BT launched Relay UK – the app that works on smartphones, computers or tablets – on behalf of all UK landline and mobile phone providers. Through registering for the app, you are able to type communication to the person on the other end of the line. This typed message is relayed by a Relay UK assistant, and they will type the response back to you. If you are phoning someone who may have difficulties hearing or speaking on the phone the Relay UK assistant will listen to your spoken message and convert it into text.
