Autistic people’s access to employment is a key issue, this research examines what Autistic people’s employment focus research priorities are. The author’s used an online survey of 197 Autistic people based in the United Kingdom, to explore their priorities for further Autistic-employment research. The finding of the study showed challenges in gaining and sustaining meaningful employment, suggesting that researchers conduct research to directly improve employment experience. Participants stressed the need for research to address the whole of the employment lifecycle including retirement. Lastly participants stated the need for research to be co-conducted with a diverse range of Autistic people.
