£0.00

Hobson, Poole, Pearson and Fletcher-Watson (2022).

Autism research relies on the support of Autistic participants to give time and energy. A core part of ensure this research could help Autistic people live happier healthier lives is to have findings that are reliable, and the methodology is clear. This short research paper explores Open Research as a system to produce more transparency and robustness in research practices. Through a wide toolkit of different methods and practices the Open Research system aims to open up research from start to finish. These methods include preregistering study protocols and hypotheses, making research methods and materials freely available, and publishing study data in an accessible manner. The authors explore the ways in which an Open Research system could support Autistic research to be more just, fair and open.
